Step One - Cleaning
Clean the surface very efficient. Use for special dirt the adequate cleaner and rinse it with
clear water. A special primer is not necessary for glass.

Step Two – Preparation
The glass has to be clean and dry. If you work with a non-embedded glass the best
method is to put it on a flat ground or table with distance piece between the glass and the
work bench to avoid touching the bench with the brush.

Step Three – Coating
Use a mohair-roll or a smooth brush to apply evenly the the first coating of the lacquer.
The consumption has to be 300g/m² at least. Preserve a holding time of 4 to 6 hours
(as soon as the coating is dry) before starting the 2nd coating in the manner specified
above.
A second coating is recommended to guarantee that the coating is constant even
on critical parts of the glass.

Step Four – Drying
Please notice the Drying Time as follows (All specifications are values for the orientation –
the dates are based on a temperature of 20 ° C during drying time):
After 24 h touchable
After 3 days normal resilience
After 6 days full resilience

Storage
In original cans is the durability 6 month after opening. Make sure that the can is closed
airtight and store it at a dry place. Open cans will react with the air and dry up.

Step five
Cleaning of surfaces coated with splinter shield Laquer:
Recommended cleaning methods:
• Washing with standard household cleaning agents. To neutralise the surface , rinse the
surface again.
• Cleaning with a high-pressure cleaner (minimum distance 20 cm)
• Since the anti-splinter coating does not have a scratch-resistant surface, you should
never use sharp-edged or abrasive cleaning agents.
• The use of highly concentrated acids, alkalis and solvents can
also damage the coating. An exact list is not possible.
