Fused boat with 6 bowls

Last night I was home for a moment.
Along a darkened road leading away from the day, I travelled,
through the window of my dreams to you.
The black shadows became light, became you.
I was home, home as perhaps I'll never be.
The night turned back into day and under a tree in the gentle filtered sunlight,
washed clean by the rain we sat.
I held your hand.
Deep, warm aromas wrapped themselves around us.
Your lips tasted of kretek.
Last night we were together, together as we'll never be.

A fused boat constructed 

A poem describing the inspiration of this two-part object. A boat constructed of iridescent strips fused together, in a second firing slumped into a boat shape and, after that, ground and polished. The small bowls inside the boat are slumped, ground and polished. The boat rests on a piece of wood.

The boat is 5 x 40 x 11 cm (height x width x depth), and the 6 little bowls in the bowl have diameters of 4 - 4 – 5 – 5,5 – 7 – 7,5 cm.
