Novacan black patina

Patina is an oxidation liquid that directly oxidizes lead and tin, or darkens it.

When the stained glass panel has been soldered and/or sealed, polish the patina over the lead and the solder points with a cloth. After patinating, you must immediately clean the stained glass panel with a cleaner.

Please note, if the patinated stained glass panels must be installed between double glazing, it is very important that there is no longer any patina between the lead and the glass. We recommend letting a patinated stained glass panel dry near the stove for at least 1 week before having the stained glass panel installed.

Work safely, patina is a toxic product. We therefore always recommend using personal protective equipment when patinating. This includes gloves, a face mask and only use outdoors or in a well-ventilated area.
